Proposition 65 is a California State “right to know” law which requires manufacturers and others to provide notice when products or environments are/or may contain substances “known to the state of California” to cause cancer or reproductive defects. The law does not set particular exposure standards or prohibit the use of particular substances, but merely requires public disclosure. The disclosure need not indicate which particular carcinogen or reproductive hazard is present, or in what concentrations. According to Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations, section 25249.6 et seq., businesses are required to provide warnings regarding the possible exposure to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list of chemicals designated under Proposition 65 are at https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition- 65/proposition-65-list.

To the best of our knowledge, all Watts Baggs parts and fabrics are in full compliance with federal laws for product safety and are made from durable and safe materials. Watts Baggs is working with our vendors to ensure the materials we use in our products are safe. Determining anticipated levels of exposure to listed chemicals can not only be complex, but burdensome. To that end, we have implemented new labeling regulations to ensure our customers are informed of the possibility that our products may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. We are working with our vendors to prevent any unsafe levels of any chemicals listed in Proposition 65 but we currently are not able to guarantee that our products meet all Prop 65 standards and regulations.

Out of an abundance of caution and without being able to know the exact chemical content of every product, Watts Baggs has elected to place the following warning on all of its products to comply with California Law.

"WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm."
